Why I wrote this book:

• I have yet to meet anyone who did not want to save money, especially given this country’s economic climate.

• An individual or family should never have to decide between buying groceries, putting gas in the car, paying the mortgage, in order to access and receive medical care. Two-thirds of all bankruptcies in the United States are related to medical bills.

• Everyone should be able to “work” the healthcare system to their advantage. This book provides consumers with an unprecedented peek into how the healthcare system really functions, and how doctors think. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to save more money and stay even healthier doing it?

• Many doctors are not even aware of these cost-saving tips, so how can they share them with their patients?

• This book is a collaborative effort from one of the largest health insurance companies in this country, one of the largest hospital organizations in the Pacific Northwest, a pharmacist, pharmaceutical representative, and myself.

• Until now, there has not been a book like this on the market that shares detailed money-saving tips with consumers. I could almost guarantee that everyone who reads this book will save money!

• I can’t say that it contains a 101 money-saving tips and health advice, but it has to be up there!

• The book will cost $15.00, as I wanted it to be priced low enough for people to be able to easily afford.

I thoroughly enjoyed writing this book over the last two years. I remain sincerely grateful and indebted to many individuals and healthcare organizations for their unwavering support and contributions. Collectively, we saw a need for this important healthcare information to be shared with consumers across the United States. It was a privilege to collaborate and complete this special project at a time when consumers can really benefit from its content. I personally learned valuable tips and insight that I did not know existed. As a result, I too will be a more informed consumer, and a better doctor.

I hope many of you will find this book equally helpful !

Best of health always,

Dr. Linda
